I am much more cautious today.

While I agree that Fortuna are the better team here, I think SG 09 will be playing for at least a point, and will attempt to be tight in the back, having been embarrassed by Luebeck's 4 goals. A 1-1 draw is a distinct possibility here, methinks.

HSV II is a different team from last year, and Werder II gave St. Pauli all they could handle - again a draw looks very possible here, but no bet here until I have seen HSV II play.

I do agree on Essen winning, but am cautious here as well, as Luebeck would be very happy with a point. Should they score first, I would expect them to play very defensive football and rely on counter-attacks. No bet for me.

Wuppertal are starting poorly again, and will be desparate for a point in Kiel - another draw seems very likely here. And at odds of 3.43 at Pinny, that is value as well.

the way i see it is from the value side:

I really like Kiel and Düsseldorf as the better teams. Wattenscheid will be struggeling against relegation big time this year.
Essen is a close match, i agree, but to get 2.0 at home is great value against everybody in the league.
Hamburg i also agree that the draw is very likely, but seeing in other places like intertops or bet and win Hamburg being favored with 2.0 or even lower the 2.7 with pinnacle is a gift for a home team here.

chris - Everything you say is absolutely true. If the second week is like the first, you should be right on the money, in that the teams that should be toward the top at the end all won. In addition, the value is certainly there - this may already be the last time that you will see 2.0 for Essen, if they win this one.

Speaking of value, I think Stuttgart at 3.15 is great value - they are playing well when it counts, are VERY tight in the back, and Tomasson may get his first start today. They should not be underdogs to this extent. They were at 2.9 last night, and 3.05 this morning - not sure why it is moving the way it is at Pinny.

you are right on stuttgart. i have put some money on the pk,+0.5 as i see this as a very even matchup. + hdc is always good.


In general i normally dont go with value. i usually play if i am confident a team is winning. But today is a exception.

A few more matches today in the Regionalliga Nord, but the lines have already become very tight.


Osnabrueck seems like a slam dunk against Oberhausen, but I didn't grab it at 1.75 yesterday, and it's now below 1.6, so I am not going there.

Even Carl Zeiss Jena are at 1.65 against Leverkusen II - too short for my taste.

The match that tickles my interest is Koeln II against Emden. I don't think Emden are half bad, and they are heavily discounted due to their drubbing by Essen, who are still the class of this league. 3.5 for the draw and 4.2 for the away win are good numbers. Koeln II will want some points, Emden will want at least one, and both will want to improve on their defensive displays - I see a tight match that could end in the draw.

Good call on the St. Pauli match - I followed the match on the Live-Ticker, and St. Pauli played very well, and could have won by a few more. Erfurt was not bad, but clearly St. Pauli was the better team today.

Looks like Koeln II have a leaky defense - that's now 7 goals in 2 matches. This league is already becoming interesting...I look forward to your weekend picks!

Köln has been already one of the highest scoring teams in league last year. They are capable of scoring and conceiding a lot. I dont know a book which takes totals for this league,but aKöln over would be a lock.
